The municipality wishes to highlight the historical heritage of Kilstett and the Alsatian dialect by showcasing the "Hoftname." The names of the houses in Kilstett, usually derived from their former owners, are still often used, but their history is frequently unknown. In order to make them known to everyone and prevent their disappearance, the municipality has started an educational trail explaining the names of certain "Hoftname" and their origins. In front of each house (10 in total), a panel illustrated with an old photo of the property explains the origins of the "Hoftname."
