At Lesquielles-St-Germain, tiered on the hillside, the Oise divides into two arms. On one of them, the "Rigole de l'Oise", a water intake, was built in the nineteenth century. It is extended by that of the "Oise and Noirrieu" - to be discovered on the circuit, on Vadencourt, intended to supply water to the canal of Saint-Quentin, located 20 km to the west.
