Much more beautiful than Mont Ventoux is the route around it. From Entrechaux you ride to Mollans-sur-Ouvèze to follow the Toulourenc valley. This is a beautiful backdrop with Mont Ventoux on your right side. The Col de Fontaube provides a crisp interlude.
Between Montbrun and Sault, you ride between the colorful and fragrant lavender fields.
The highlight of the ride is the Gorges de la Nesque. From Monieux, there is a nice ascent to the viewpoint, and from there to Mormoiron, a wonderful descent follows.
In total, you will climb 1400 meters in altitude.
A beautiful route with plenty of food and drink options. Especially the latter should not be missed in warm weather.
