This route takes you through the flat Franco-Flemish country from the walled town of Bergues. Discover the architectural and natural splendor of the city and surrounding region. The fortress walls built by order of the Counts of Flanders and Burgundy, the Kings of Spain and the French architect Vauban are no less than 3500 m long and surround the city. Admire the belfry (UNESCO) or the
remains of the former Abbey of St. Winok. The route passes in front of the streams that drained the ground around, in front of the Yser, a castle and heritage villages.
