Bicycle version of the Napoleon route for the recreational cyclist. This is the route that Napoleon Bonaparte followed with his troops +/- through Belgium on his way to his defeat in Waterloo in 1815. However, some adjustments were made to follow pleasant cycling roads and to avoid busy, straight and boring paved roads. On June 14, 1815, Napoleon Bonaparte arrives with his troops at Beaumont, bound for a confrontation with the allied armies of Wellington and Blücher. On June 18, the defeat in Waterloo follows, which determines the further course of European history. This route follows the last four days of Napoleon's army.
