This route is largely based on the Granfondo Cannondale. There are several variants of this "M" version: the XL, L, S, and XS versions. The route starts at Place des Lices in Saint Tropez, from where the Col de Collebasse is climbed via Ramatuelle. A long stretch alongside the Mediterranean Sea eventually leads to the foot of the Col de Canadel (from 0 to 267m elevation). A beautiful climb with a view of the sea. After that, the beautiful "Route des Crêtes" follows. During the first part, you have beautiful views on the right side, including of the airport; during the second part, the vistas are on the left side, with magnificent views of the Sea. About halfway, you can veer left to Le Lavandou. This piece is included in the "XL" version of this route. A particularly steep descent there. The next climb is the 8 km long, but not steep, Col de Babaou with a long descent to Collobrières (an ideal place for lunch, by the way). Via the D19 to Cogolin. First, a fairly long, smooth climb, then a bit rolling, and ultimately a very long, beautiful, safe descent to Cogolin. Just past Cogolin, there’s another particularly steep climb :-) Then back to Saint Tropez.
