Today you cycle through beautiful pieces of the Bessin region to reach Omaha Beach and the impressive American cemetery. From here, you cycle along the coast towards La Pointe du Hoc, La Pointe du Hoc was a heavily armored part of the Atlantic Wall, and the area around La Pointe du Hoc is still a landscape full of craters from the bombings by the Allies. After visiting the war monument, you will cycle via a quiet route southward, passing the German cemetery at La Cambe. After visiting the cemetery, you will cycle to Carentan.
