Description by the author

Besançon is an Eastern French city located about 90 kilometers east of Dijon. The city has a large historic center that was completely fortified by the French military architect Vauban. The impressive citadel of Besançon and the many towers scattered around the city still bear witness to this. In addition to these sights, the walk also passes the Place du 8 Septembre, the Fort Griffon, the Rue des Granges, ... and so many other beautiful places.
