Description by the author

Caen is located in the north of France and is the capital of Lower Normandy. The city suffered a lot from the bombing of the Second World War, but as by a miracle many historically important buildings, monuments, places, ... have been preserved. Most of them are visited during this walk, including the Château de Caen, the Abbaye aux Dames, the Place Saint-Sauveur, ... and many other gems.
