Description by the author

Chambéry is a southern French city about 90 kilometers south of Geneva. The city has a medieval center that, thanks to the continuous presence of the high Alpine peaks in the area, acquires a unique character. This walk tries to convey that character as well as possible by combining the many sights that Chambéry has in as compact a way as possible without creating the feeling that something is being overlooked. These sights are the Cathédrale Saint-François-de-Sales de Chambéry, the Place Saint Léger, the Parc du Verney, ... and a whole host of other gems.
