Versailles is known worldwide for the Palace of Versailles, which was built for King Louis XIV. The city is located southwest of Paris, and has been de facto the capital of France for more than a century. Discover the city center, palace and gardens of Versailles with this walk. The 12 km long tour starts at Versailles Château Rive Gauche station and ends at Versailles Rive Droite station. It is easy to reach by train from Paris.
