Watch out, this route starts at the top of the Col de la Croix de Fer. This route is for people staying in Bourg d'Oisans, who park their car at the top and start with the descent of the Glandon to La Chambre. If you start in Saint-Jean de Maurienne, look for the route with the same name on my profile.
After the initial descent, the route follows the famous lacets de Montvernier that precede the climb back to the Col de la Croix de Fer via col du Mollard. This way, you don't have to take any tunnels. In addition, this route adds more than 40 hairpins up the Mollard.
