The Mont-Ventoux is perhaps 1 of the best known French mountains that exist and that is also the case for a reason. The mountain has an exceptional beauty since it seems to be a solitary one in the area and combine that with the legendary status it has acquired through the Tour de France and you have a "recipe for greatness". The bike ride takes you through the plain around Carpentras without ever losing sight of the imposing appearance of Mont-Ventoux.
