This walk takes you on a discovery along Arques, Saint-Omers and Clairmarais. The route starts at the impressive Arques boat lift, a remnant of the industrial revolution. Along the Canal de Neufossé it then goes to Saint-Omer. There you can see, among other things, the ruins of the Abbey of Saint Bernard and the beautiful cathedral of Saint Omer. The walk continues to Clairmarais via the Canal du Haut Pont and the Canal de Neufossé. In Clairmarais you will find abbey ruins and a beautiful abbey farm. The last part of the route goes from Clairmarais back to Arques.
