The river Somme flows into the sea at Saint-Valery-sur-Somme. Located by this bay is this charming town, and on the other side is le Crotoy. A cycle path connects these two villages, and depending on the tide, the view is stunning. At low tide, many waterfowl are foraging on the exposed flats. At high tide, there are many fishermen alongside the ducks, geese, and all the other birds.
On the other side, inland, you can hear the steam whistle as the tourist train arrives. The small stations and hamlets are definitely worth a visit.
