Through the valley of the Hem to the forest of Tournehem: a delightful hike Ardrésis

Starting from the picturesque village square of Tournehem-sur-la-Hem, you go through the Bois du Parc in search of the old fishermen's chapel on Mont Louis (213 m), not the highest point in the area, but certainly the most beautiful. Here you can look out in all four directions: to the north, the (French) Flemish coastal plain, and to the south, the green hills and valleys of the Boulonnais, a paradise for hikers. After descending into the valley of the river La Hem, you switch banks and slowly climb towards the Fôret Domaniale de Tournehem, a gigantic forest where nature lovers can fully enjoy themselves: a forest walk of about three hours! Before you descend to Tournehem, you walk along a panoramic road that, in clear weather, provides views from the Casselberg (176 m) and the Recolettenberg over the northern French coastline with the port cities of Dunkirk and Calais.
