Spectacular ascent and scrambling walk through the valley of the Rieussec gorges, a small river that is dry most of the year.

Warning: this walk is strongly discouraged during a storm or rain. The water level can rise very quickly. The terrain becomes more and more difficult during the descent! Go back if you can't go further!
The road in the dry river is marked with a green dot. Follow the green dots to find the best path. Sometimes it's a lot of climbing and jamming!

The walk starts from a small parking lot easily accessible. We first meander up a hill, then descend into the valley of the Rieussec gorges. After that, we stay in the valley of the gorge which is initially still easy to walk. The lower we go, the more difficult it becomes and regularly we have to go up and up to go further. Follow the green dots for the best route. On the way, there is a descent that is quite difficult. The last time we walked ourselves (2019), there was a rope for support. The gorges end in the Ardèche near the Domaine Blachas campsite. To return to the car park, cross the campsite and follow the paved road.
