Lanchester Road Hospital is a mental health facility located in County Durham, England, and lies on a large site just north west of Durham city. It is managed by the Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys Foundation NHS Trust.
The hospital has its origins in the Earl's House Industrial School founded as a vocational residential school for children with special academic needs in the 1890s. After the school closed in 1922, the site developed as the Earl's House Sanatorium in the 1930s and then as a psychiatric facility known as the Earl's House Hospital in the 1960s.
