Dalby Forest, located in the North Yorkshire Moors, is famous for its fierce terrains and far-reaching views which draw an international crowd.With over 8000 acres of woodland to explore – there’s something to keep everyone entertained.There are 13 walking trails, four running trails and six cycling trails. Bring or hire bikes as there’s 55 miles of cycle routes which range from family friendly to highly technical, demanding routes.There are two play areas to get the children blowing off steam and there’s much to be discovered in the Enchanted Wood. Look out for the living willow arches, owl carvings, a mystical fort, giant insects and a spider in the trees. The whole family can put their map reading skills to the test as they tackle the Gruffalo Orienteering route.There are picnic sites to enjoy some al fresco dining or grab a bite to eat and a drink in the café. Worried you won’t have time to fit it all in? Bring your tent as there are camping facilities.
