The wild heights of Wester Ross
Today, no less than 350 km are on the program. Wester Ross - between Loch Carron and Ullapool - is the name of the region. However, we will focus in particular on the Applecross peninsula, a mountainous and wild corner whose peaks culminate at more than 900 m. For a long time, the peninsula was only accessible by a high pass. Even today, it is still quite isolated. Two large nature reserves, Torridon and Beinn Eighe, cover large parts of it.
