Glenariff Waterfall Walk, Co Antrim

Encompassing over 800ha, Glenariff is one of nine glens in Co Antrim. After some snowfall, its conifer trees will be covered in a white coat. Out of its many trails, the Waterfall Walk (signed by red arrows) is easily its most attractive. Descend steeply via steps to a rocky gorge into a hidden world. After a wet spell, the waterfalls will put on a spectacular display. Look out for red squirrel too among the trees, and remember to bring a £5 fee for the Forest Park (gates locked at dusk). walkni.com
