Starting from Dolgellau this route takes the road to Bala, past its wonderful lake and then turning off the main road we make our way through magnificent scenery to Lake Vyrnwy. From here we take the mountain road over Bwlch-y-Groes to take in the extensive views.Then on to the village of Dinas Mawddwy. The route returns over the pass, with Cader Idris to the left, back to Dolgellau.
