You can start everywhere along this route, but this church (Church of St Mary) is certainly a good place to start. Some great views along this route. This route is paved and suitable for a race bike. There is little (no) chance you will be seeing cars along this route. Uphill, downhill and maybe some sprints, but don't forget to enjoy the landscape near Knowle Hill. Don't forget to stop at Wookey Hole Caves. If I had to summarize this route: a nice ride for an experienced cyclist.
