A nice forty miles or so, for a lunchtime start from Berwick-on-Tweed. The gentle Tweed valley, historic Coldstream, the fine town of Kelso with its Abbey and Market Square, ending at St. Boswell's. I stayed there overnight, but there's lots more accommodation in nearby Melrose.
