Description by the author

Friendly Padley cafe start. Mars bar? Up the valley, by the river. Out of the woods, right, up to the road. Ice cream van? Through Longshaw estate. cafe? Down to the river and back up to road. service vehicle track up the valley. Tricky to find the left across the valley. Boggy. Up to stone age fort (wall on outcrop). further up to Higger Tor plateau. Views, lunch? and great scrambling rocks. SSW past sheepfold-ish to surprise view. There is a stone circle somewhere along this bit I've never found. Down into the forest, back down hill until you hit a line of cottages/access road. Nice ruined chapel. To Padley cafe for tea sat next to the train tunnel if nice. Massive portions. Train home?
