Description by the author

This walking route starts at Ightham Mote, a medieval 'manor house'. From there it goes to Sevenoaks, via Carters Hill to the Knole House. Knole House is a beautiful estate in Knole Park, where the seven oak trees stood where Sevenoaks has its name. Then it goes via One Tree Hill and Wilmot Hill back to Ightam Mote. The walk runs partly with the long-distance trail Greensand Way. Parking is available at the departure point.
