Newport is a southern English town located on the Isle of Wight that is approximately 13 miles south of Portsmouth. The city has a rich history and shows signs of habitation dating back to 38 000 BC. Nowadays the city is mainly built up in typical English style and it is pleasant to be there. Sights such as the Newport Roman Villa, the St. Thomas Minster and the cozy quay will ensure that your stay on this beautiful island will not be lost.
