This walking route takes you through the National Scenic Area Upper Tweeddale. You walk through a varied landscape, including along the banks of the River Tweed.

Attention!

Along the River Tweed you follow an old railway reservation. Just before the end of the tour, and just after the Neidpath Viaduct, you walk through the old railway tunnel. If this is too eerie for you, you can follow the river bank of the Tweed just before the viaduct to Peebles. If you do go through the tunnel, be sure to bring a flashlight because there is no natural daylight in the middle of the tunnel!
