Description by the author

This is the seventh day of the bike ride along the Hadrian Wall and Wainwright's Coast to Coast route. The low budget route goes from campsite to campsite. The section along the Hadrian Wall follows National Cycle Route 72 to Carlisle. After Carlisle, the track curves towards St. Bees, the starting point of Wainwrights coast to coast from the Irish Sea to the North Sea. This coast to coast route is originally a hiking trail. I have tried to include bike paths and quiet roads that are as close to the walking route as possible.

Even today you can take it easy. You can let the laundry dry for a while, get up a little later and have a good breakfast.

The road to Great Broughton is not spectacular. Make it a relaxing day because tomorrow you will need all your strength.

If you are considering closing for 2 days in a row, do days 6 and 7. Don't even consider linking days 7 and 8 yet because then you will end up deceived.

The Great Broughton site is located behind the Jet Miners Inn. There is only a sign on the wall on which the campsite is signposted.

You set up the tent in the meadow behind the gate between roosters, chickens, peacocks and guinea fowls. The accommodation is very basic, with an emphasis on basic. You can possibly take shelter in one of two sheds on the property.

Food in the restaurant is highly recommended.

Advice: Kill the rooster because it starts crowing very early in the morning.

Today is also an easy day. You can dry your laundry, rise a bit later and eat your breakfast.

Advice: Kill the rooster because he starts yelling very early.
