Koroni ( Greece Peloponnese ) is a seaside town in Messinia, 52 km northwest from Kalamata, famous for its Venetian Castle which is one of the few habitable castles in the country. It is built into the hills with picturesque alleys with steps, two story houses with flowering gardens and tiled roofs. There are well known sandy beaches in the surrounding area with crystal clear waters and also some secret beaches in small bays.
