Kalavryta is a very beautiful small town in the mountainous area of the Peloponnese. It became also a ski center.
The main street is nicely renovated and kept its character. It provides a lot of facilities for the visitor, without being a cliché tourist shopping street.
Kalavryta is famous because of the sad event in 1943: the Massacre of Kalavryta where more than 500 people were killed by the Nazis.
