The chapel of Agios Pavlos - Saint Paul - on the Agios Pavlos beach, can only be reached by boat or after an hour walk from Agia Roumeli. It was built on the beach in the 11th century at the spot where Saint Paul is supposed to have been shipwrecked on his journey to Crete and Greece. A few frescoes are still visible inside the chapel but they are in poor condition.
