Cape of Mikri Vighla is an outcrop of granodiorite with smooth shapes and the occosional cave-like structure called tafoni. The cape created two very different beaches to the north and the south of it. To the north, Kiradesh Bay and the beach of Orkos, the northerly winds are strong and much appreciated by the kite surfers. To the south, the cape protects the beach of Mikri Vighla and provides calm waters.
