Tilos opts for a drastic ecological approach that can be called impressive to say the least.
They state the following:
"We committed ourselves to making Tilos the the 1st zero waste island and we made it happen! What is currently happening in Tilos is the beginning of a brand new lifestyle, a new philosophy of dealing with things that are no longer useful to us. A new chapter in our modern civilization that has been achieved through constant communication, engagement, and respect towards the local community, that is now experiencing the joy of being a pioneer group of people worldwide. And that is just the beginning!"
Hopefully this will stop being impressive in a few years and become the standard.
