On many parts of Zagga Beach you will find warnings that there are nesting sites for the Caretta caretta, the beautiful and rare sea turtle. Eggs are hatched under the sand with the warmth of the sun. In those nest places, stakes have been placed so that a confused tourist does not stick an umbrella in the eggs.
