In Kastro, you often find marble cisterns (water reservoirs) in the narrow streets. These marble tanks were primarily used to collect and store water, given the dry climate and the village's need for water management. The importance of this can be seen in the amount of labor that went into making these cisterns and in their detailed and delicate workmanship.
