In Kastro vind je vaak marmeren citernes (waterreservoirs) in de smalle straatjes. Deze marmeren bakken dienden hoofdzakelijk om water op te vangen en op te slaan, gezien het droge klimaat en de behoefte aan waterbeheer in het dorp.
