The Diolkos was a paved road along which small ships could be towed across the Isthmus of Corinth. In this way the journey was shortened considerably and the risky circumnavigation of the Peloponnese was avoided.
With this walk you literally step in the footsteps of the boat tugmen of Corinth who provided these services from at least 600 BC.
