I come to Athens for more than 30 years (I have family & friends here), and I frequently get the question what one should see here the first time one visits Athens. It's a beautiful city full of history and culture. And it definitely became much more beautiful the last 25 years.So it is hard to make a limited selection. But I tried because most of the people who come here for a visit try to see the city in two or three days. I also wanted to make a mix with more peculiar things which surprised me as a foreigner those last 25 years. So this is my selection.

This is quite a walk to do in one day. So I recommend to do it in two days ore more and take plenty of time to enjoy the places along the route.
