Description by the author

Murrisk is a lovely village sitting between the sea and the mountain. The mountain that shadows the village is Croagh Patrick, Ireland’s holy mountain. Murrisk is approximately 9.5 km from Westport on the R335 heading towards Louisburgh.

Murrisk Loop merges the Murrisk Abbey Walk and the Murrisk Pier Loop into a single loop.
