Ballinafunshogue Walk – Mountain Access Trail

This access route, which is an enjoyable walk in itself, gains you access to the Mullacor Saddle. From here you have easy access to the open mountains, either west to Lugduff and beyond or east to Mullacor and Derrybawn. This is a linear trail and you return by the same route.

Notes: Very sustained steep climb. From the top of the route you can follow the Wicklow Way to Glendalough, if you access the open mountain from here you must be fully prepared and know how to navigate in difficult conditions.
