This loop takes the walker towards the eastern end of the island where it circles Lough Gowlansgowar before joining a sandy beach for a stretch and passing the ruins of St Colman's church. It follows minor roads, laneways, bog roads, grassy roads and tracks with views of the island's beautiful scenery.
