The trail begins and ends in the heritage village of Brideswell. It mainly crosses lowland farmland and connects with the old bog roads, part of a national waymarked trail. Along the route, walkers follow an old mass path once used by locals as a shortcut into the bog. Approximately 1 km of the trail runs along a local road, with several points of interest to explore along the way.
