The Selfoss is an 11-meter-high and approximately 100-meter-wide waterfall in the glacial river Jökulsá á Fjöllum in the north of Iceland. The source of this river lies in the Vatnajökull glacier, which makes the amount of water very variable. A little further downstream is the most powerful waterfall in Europe, the Dettifoss.
