Drei Zinnen: the most famous trident
The three teeth are the hallmark of the Dolomites, but only viewed from the north. When you pass the east side after a 20-minute walk from the Auronzo hut (end of the toll road) and see the skyscraper-like north facades for the first time, the fascination begins. And you won't let it go. The wide path to the Drei Zinnen Hütte is busy. Quieter and slightly shorter, the narrower path is slightly higher up. The hut delivers huge meal portions and delicious Bavarian wheat beer for reasonable prices. Then you can walk the same way back or complete the circle around the Sentences. The complete circle takes 3.5 hours.
