The peninsula of Portofino is a subtropical paradise with a wide choice of paths and fantastic sea views. Whether you start the coastal walk in Camogli or Portofino, the beautifully situated San Fruttoso monastery is a successful destination. The monastery museum is somewhat disappointing, but the beach next to it, and especially the pebble beach just to the east of it, is a pleasant place to take a break. You can walk back on an alternative route or take the ferry.
