This monument was inaugurated in 2006 by the dignitaries of San Baronto in the presence of former cyclists such as Andrea TAFI. It is a tribute to all cyclists and cycling tourists who daily ride up the hill of San Baronto (350m high) and are "protected" by Santo Baronto, the patron saint of cycling enthusiasts.
After the tragic accident of former professional cyclist Franco Ballerini on February 7, 2010, this monument was also dedicated on August 26, 2010, as a memorial stone to Franco.
There is also a small water spring provided.
