Whoever says VINCI thinks of LEONARDO da VINCI. Yet, he would not have been born in 1452, but in the nearby village of Anchiano, 2 kilometers away. There, you can also visit his birthplace.

To visit the museums dedicated to this versatile artist, sculptor, painter, inventor, engineer, etc., it's better to stay in Vinci. Definitely worth it! The genius Leonardo da Vinci is a prime example of the Renaissance and the 'Uomo Universalis'. We know him from the Mona Lisa, from The Last Supper, but he also made designs for helicopters, tanks, and even submarines. Thanks to Dan Brown's book, the Da Vinci Code, he has become popular again, and interest is more than lively.
