Did you know that a remarkable beautiful mummy was found here in the catacombe dei Cappuccini. It is the body of Rosalia Lombardo . She was an Italian child who died of pneumonia on December 6, 1920. Rosalia's father, Official Mario Lombardo, was sorely grieved upon her death, so he approached Alfredo Salafia, a noted embalmer, to preserve her. This video shows you the story.
