The Monte Pisano, also known in the plural form Monti Pisani, is a mountain range of modest size that is part of the Tuscan Subappennines, located in the central-northern part of Tuscany, separating Pisa and Lucca.
The correct name is in the singular, but the plural form is more widespread, and in this many also include the Monti d'Oltreserchio. In reality, all the mountains are under 1000 m in height, with some being little more than hills. The chain of Monte Pisano extends as a continuation of the Apuan Alps between the Serchio and Arno rivers. The highest peak is Monte Serra, which hosts radio and television repeaters at its summit. They mainly extend from the northwest to the southeast, in an oval shape.
